Working & Pastoral Breeds of Scotland Championship Show
We had a great day at the show under Dr Ron James, where “Rebel” – Chayo Rebel Gold took her third consecutive ticket, making her our 27th UK Champion and our 50th Champion worldwide! What an amazing achievement!
“Trouble” – Chayo Here Comes Trouble won another fabulous BEST PUPPY IN BREED and also won the Puppy Stakes, piloted by his friend Anne Nevinson. Our “Magic” – CH Chayo Trust The Magic took another Reserve CC to complete a successful day.
South Wales Championship Show
A journey to South Wales Kennel Association where “Rebel” – Chayo Rebel Gold comes back into the ring after a long break to mature and walks away with the Bitch CC under our judge Tom Johnston. What a girl! Our baby boy “Trouble” – Chayo Here Comes Trouble was Best Puppy Dog at just over 6 months of age, expertly handled by his friend Anne Nevinson.
AMCUK Jubilee Shows
Took a trip to the AMCUK double show Jubilee event. With girls in season and out of coat, it was a day for the boys and they didn’t let me down! “Magic” – CH Chayo Trust The Magic was awarded RESERVE BEST IN SPECIALITY SHOW by judges Adrian Bicknell and Cath Moffat. Our little star “Trouble” – Chayo Here Comes Trouble, at five and a half months of age, took to the ring like a pro with his friend Anne and was awarded BEST BABY PUPPY IN SHOW at both shows.
National Working & Pastoral Breeds Championship Show
WOW! What an amazing day! We started in the breed classes under our judge Dave Killilea, who awarded “Layla” – CH Chayo Vasilisa her 21st Challenge Certificate and then went on to give her BEST OF BREED. She wasn’t finished there though, going on to GROUP 1 under judge Steve Atkinson and ultimately picking up RESERVE BEST IN SHOW. Our immense thanks to both judges.
Not to be outdone, Anne and “Midas” – CH Chayo Golden Touch was given BEST VETERAN IN BREED and then went on to win VETERAN GROUP 1 under judge Lynne Salt before being awarded BEST VETERAN IN SHOW by judge Steve Atkinson!
Boston Championship Show
A great day under judge Dave Chapman where “Layla” – CH Chayo Vasilisa picked up yet another CC, bringing her running total to 20. She then went on to another BEST OF BREED! finishing her day with a lovely short list in the Group.
Windsor Championship Show
A fantastic day in the sunshine at Windsor under judge Bridgette Bodle, where “Layla” – CH Chayo Vasilisa won her 19th CC and BEST OF BREED, followed by a short list in the Working Group.
Blackpool Championship Show
We couldn’t have predicted the amazing day we had at Blackpool! Our judge for the day was Dr Anukka Paloheimo and she started by awarding “Magic” – Chayo Trust The Magic his 2nd CC. “Layla” – CH Chayo Vasilisa then did the double by taking the Bitch CC, her 18th and going on to win BEST OF BREED against Magic. Not to be left out, “Pebbles” – Chayo Love On The Rocks, won the Reserve Bitch CC at only her 2nd show and BEST PUPPY IN BREED! Anne completed the line-up with BEST VETERAN IN BREED with “Midas” – CH Chayo Golden Touch ShCM.
The day wasn’t finished there though, we entered the groups and were honoured for Layla to be awarded WORKING GROUP 1 under highly respected judge Liz Dunhill and Midas matched her by winning WORKING VETERAN GROUP 1 under judge Keith Nathan.
Border Union Championship Show
A day out in Scotland under judge Averil Cawthera-Purdy saw “Layla” – CH Chayo Vasilisa take her 16th CC and BEST OPPOSITE SEX, with “Magic” – Chayo Trust The Magic picking up another Reserve CC.
Southern Counties Championship Show
With Glynn on committee duties, it was left to Anne to represent Chayo at Southern Counties under our judge Steve Atkinson, who awarded “Midas” – CH Chayo Golden Touch BEST VETERAN IN BREED.
CRUFTS 2024
Once again, CHAYO take BEST OF BREED at Crufts and then top it off with a WORKING GROUP 4! Anne also took a fantastic BEST VETERAN IN BREED.
Our star of the day was “Layla” – CH Chayo Vasilisa who was honoured to be awarded BEST OF BREED by breed specialist judge Jo Sugden and then given a group 4 by Mr Paul Harding. Our thanks to both judges.

Manchester Championship Show
First Championship Show of the year and our young lad “Magic” – Chayo Trust The Magic certainly did the trick, winning the DOG CC and BEST OF BREED under our judge David Cavill. What a great start to 2024!
